Let go and let God. Let it be. Be still.
These three expressions are all too common for any of you like me who thrive off of self-awareness, self-love, self-help (any other Tony Robbins fans out there? ☺). But I will openly admit that letting go of control is my absolute hardest feat in this life. Trusting in a higher plan, feeling free of worry, and feeling certain that everything will be okay can be exactly what you need to allow all of the abundance that is yours into your life. Allow it in.
I chose to write about this today because it very suddenly dawned on me, perhaps it is not holding on for dear life to what you think you want that takes the courage and strength during difficult or stifling times, but the trust of letting go.
We are told so often to never give up on our dreams and passions, and I am a huge believer in that. But sometimes you can feel stuck and unsure. And when that happens, maybe it’s time for a new approach. One that trusts in God, the Universe, and a higher life plan. Trust is such a huge part of the human experience and it is something that is so hard for so many of us.
I stumbled across a quote some time ago that said, “Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you listen to God.” So, I am putting myself up to a challenge for 30 days. For 30 days I am not going to miss a single day of meditation and I am going to meditate for at least 30 minutes every day. This could be guided or unguided meditations but I will take 30 minutes to be still, and to listen.
I truly believe this stillness and trust is the key to allowing, as well as the key to receiving those creative ideas, inspirations, or calls to action. So I plan to make an effort to be still (sounds so ironic doesn’t it?). I hope any of you reading this decide to join me and take this 30 day challenge yourself. Perhaps it is exactly what we need to allow those miracles into our lives. ☺
